Yes, that is exactly what I mean. Nathaniel and I are going onto a new diet.
NO, we don't feel like we need to lose weight, especially since I'm pregnant.
About 2 weeks ago, we found out that I probably have a dairy allergy, and that is what is causing my headaches. Yup, you heard that right. The milk-aholic is allergic. (cries) That was not a fun thing to find out. However, we still had over a gallon of milk in the fridge, as well as cheese and such. So we waited until what we had was gone. That was yesterday. So today, we are starting a no dairy at all diet. So that means no butter, no cheese, no ice cream, no chocolate, no yogurt, no sour cream, etc.
I know that seems a bit extreme, but we are trying to clear out my system. So for a month, we are going to have absolutely no dairy, and we are going to try to avoid the substitutes as well, just to clean out. Then, if my headaches have cleared up, or even gone down a significant amount, we will add in substitutes and various different things to see what I can stand, like chocolate and cheese. Hopefully those things I'll still be able to handle in small doses, on a not every day basis.
Now, we know that for me to have this diet does not mean that Nathaniel has to be on it as well, but he already has a small bit of milk intolerance. So its a better diet for him as well, that's why we're both going on the diet. We'll probably end up eating healthier anyway, because of adding green veggies for calcium. So I'm going to keep track of days I have headaches, and if I had dairy that day, or if there were outside factors that could have caused a headache. We'll see how it goes.
I'll keep y'all posted.
