Moving

So, some of you already know this, but for some this will be brand new news. I was waiting until we had an official date to make the announcement. We are moving. Yup. It's true. We will be moving up to the Seattle, Washington Area at the beginning of June. Nathaniel is still at the job he started in January, working remotely as a storage admin (ish, I'm not sure on all the exact stuff or whatever). However, for about 3 1/2 years now, we've felt that we are supposed to move up to Washington, but the timing wasn't ever quite working out. Finally it is. We have  a move date set for June 6th.
Technically, we are still looking for a place, but we have a temporary place set up in case we don't quite get one of our own by that time. However, there is a rather promising house we're looking at renting. We've had my sister-in-law go look at it, and she also did a google video chat with me, so I was able to see it as well, and I LOVE it. We're applying, so we'll see how that one goes. But we're also still trying to find other houses that work for us. We definitely want to rent a house instead of an apartment, but there aren't many that fit our criteria. Oh well. For those of you interested, this is the house I was talking about, that we're trying to rent.
This week has been fairly uneventful, though there are a couple of things. I did take the kids to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point with my mom on Wednesday. That was fun. So I've got a couple of pictures from that (okay, apparently only 1. I will say that I was very happy to have Mom with me. I don't think I'd have been able to pull Jacob away otherwise. At the very end of the museum they have a "quarry" for the kids to find bones in. Which is great, I love that its at least partially an interactive museum. However, Jacob did NOT want to leave. We dragged/carried him LITERALLY kicking and screaming the entire way to the car. And then, as I was getting Timothy into the car, he laid on the asphalt and continued kicking and screaming. He was very tired, and apparently, I need a sandbox.
Jessica loves riding this dinosaur.

Then, yesterday was VERY eventful. First we  dyed Easter eggs. (and I was quite proud of myself for letting go of the mess)
Jessica dyeing Easter eggs. And me even allowing her to get them out on her own.
I did let Jacob drop 2 eggs in the dye, but he kept trying to grab the dye cups, and I was worried about him trying to drink them. So this is what he did instead.
Then we had a ward activity. We had breakfast at the church, and then we all went bowling . The kids thought it was great, and all of us had very close (not very good) scores. Nathaniel and I literally tied for the win... at 75 points.

After that, we went directly to my mom's for an Easter egg hunt with all the cousins. That was great too, until after Jessica found all her eggs. She was then watching the other kids find theirs, and was climbing on the railing and jumped, and her feet slipped, bringing her chin down on the railing, and putting a tooth through her bottom lip. (and Mom, remembering what the doctor said, and checking again to see if the locations lined up, it is put through). So, that was a very abrupt end to our Easter egg hunt. We hurried her down to the instacare, (about 5 minutes from Mom's) where they told us that since the outside one wasn't gaping, and was actually very small, there wasn't really a need to do stitches, even though the inside one was gaping. Apparently, the inside of the mouth is so "vascular" (lots of blood vessels) that it heals really quickly, and they expect the inside to heal as fast as the outside, despite the difference in the size of the wounds. So, we put some ointment on it, and a bandaid, and that was it. The instacare was awesome in that they were willing to call it a nurse consultation for parent education, and reimburse us the copay, but Jessica wanted to see the doctor, so we did. Which was fine, he just agreed with the nurse.
Hopefully this trend of injuries doesn't continue for my kids. I don't want any more ER/Instacare visits this year (or at all if possible).

Zoo

Well, I don't have much to write about this week. It's been fairly uneventful. We did go to the zoo on Friday with my mom and sister (and her kids). That was fun, but maybe a bit too much for me for my level of physical fitness. Oh my goodness. I was basically non-functional the rest of the day and then yesterday as well. I am obviously terribly out of shape. I'm just glad it wasn't July. Timothy is too small to sit in our stroller, so I had him in the wrap, which was fine, but a little extra warm. So it being only in the 70s was a good thing. The kids had fun though, and that's really the point of something like this right?
Jacob was having a grand time watching the seals play in the water. And I really mean play. They were quite the showoffs.

Sadly, we didn't get to see the real polar bear, she was hiding. But Jessica seemed content to pose on the statues.

Getting them to both look at me is hard enough, I'm not going to try for smiles. ;)
And this last picture has nothing to do with the zoo at all. Just with me being brave. I am not the best about letting my kids feed themselves. I don't deal well with the food messes. So this is me making an attempt at letting Jacob feed himself. And he actually did fairly well! I was impressed.
Mama being brave.
So yeah. That's about it for this week.

1 month

Wow! My baby turned 1 month old this week. Crazy! And seriously, time goes faster and faster with each additional kid. I thought it went fast with Jessica, and then Jacob came... and now Timothy. And I'm like "wait, it's been a month? Didn't I just have him this past Monday?" Absolutely crazy!
So, at one month old, Timothy is still eating like a champ. Seriously, our joking nickname for him is Thor, because of how big he is, and because he's always eating. (And, really, the quotes from the movie just fit too well.) "This mortal frame is weak, I require sustenance." or "This is good... ANOTHER!" So, I'm not sure about length or head circumference, since I don't care to take the time and effort to measure a squirmy baby, but as far as weight goes... my mom and I weighed him on Wednesday, and he was almost 13 pounds. And he fills out the 0-3 month clothes so well, that I'm thinking I may need to move up a size. LOL!

Gotta love those round chubby cheeks.

See! Doesn't look like a newborn anymore. Except for the way he moves, then he still does. ;)

What was even more hilarious though, is that on Friday I went to Costco, and was planning on buying some size 1 diapers for him, cause we're running out, and while I do use cloth diapers, its not 24-7, so I need some disposables as well. So, I was looking at the weight range for the size 1's, and they go up to 14 pounds. And he's been gaining about a pound (or even a little more) every 2 weeks so far. (Apparently, my milk is straight cream, I guess that's what happens when my doctor has had me eating so much cheese, eggs and avocados huh. ) So, considering that based on the evidence, we'd only have about 2 weeks to use the size one diapers, and the fact that I use cloth diapers as well, I decided to move him up to size 2s. WOW! My 1 month old baby is in size 2 diapers. (or will be as soon as we finish the previous package, which is halfway done) And the weight range on size 2s is 12-16 pounds, so I don't have any worry about them being too big either, since he's almost a pound into it.
And we attempted some tummy time with the siblings up, that was... interesting. They definitely love their brother, just sometimes a little to exuberantly.
Very cute picture, but what you can't tell is that Jacob is starting to push on Timothy's head. So I had to stop this right after I took the picture.
But yeah, I don't do much these days, just mainly trying to be able to keep my house and kids relatively in order, (Which isn't working so well) and keep my sanity.
Oh, and can I just say, what is it about having red-headed children that makes it so that everytime I'm out with them, at least one person stops me to either ask where the red hair came from, tell a red-head joke, or tell me how jealous they are, because they wanted red-heads.
